Project Create has requested funding from the Authority to implement a waste reduction education program in one elementary school in West County. The program provides teachers with training, curriculum, materials, and supporting developing service learning action projects to reduce waste. The school participating in this program will partner with Project Create to help organize and collect materials for a "Creative Reuse Extravaganza" event in the community. Project Create has successfully completed similar projects in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
